The modular design—using a laser-cut 4130 steel starter ring—creates a much stronger design for high horsepower applications. They have no welds bonding dissimilar materials which are subject to fail, and the laminated layout allows them to flex as constructed—which also helps with engine harmonics. All QuickTime racing modular flexplates come neutral balanced. If your engine is externally balanced, you can use one of the QuickTime balance plates to keep it in balance.
